As of July 1, 2021, the two highly respected clinical and translational cancer research foundations ETOP (European Thoracic Oncology Platform) and IBCSG (International Breast Cancer Study Group) have merged to form the joint entity ETOP IBCSG Partners Foundation.
The new foundation brings together two strong and equal partners which collectively have a global reach for the conduct of collaborative projects in Europe, North and South America, Asia, Africa and Australia. By joining forces, the position as an international academic research organization is further strengthened.
ETOP IBCSG Partners Foundation will pursue and maintain the leading scientific research in thoracic malignancies and breast cancer and will also be open to promote and conduct international clinical research on other topics.
The collaboration with the Coordinating Center in Berne as well as with the Frontier Science Foundation in Greece and the USA will continue to provide and encompass all expertise needed to develop and coordinate clinical and translational cancer research on an international level.
